Grade 7, 8, and 9 students will have the opportunity to become involved in the Laurier Heights Band program. This is a full year course where students will learn to play an instrument and to perform as a member of a band. This option is a highly entertaining part of Laurier Heights School. The Band travels in the community and performs at several field trips. They also have the opportunity to attend a Band Camp and have in-school clinicians.

In 2007-2008 our Grade 9 band performed on stage at the Winspear Center. Selected Band members and the Junior High Choir performed at the annual Edmonton Public School Night of Music at the Jubilee Auditorium. The Grade 8 and 9 band students went to Banff as part of a performance tour. Every year band students perform their final concert at Hawrelak Park's Heritage Amphitheatre in June.
